Blue Moon on Friday!
With a so-called "blue moon" set to rise in the night sky this Friday (Aug. 31), you may find yourself wondering: Just what is a blue moon, exactly? And where does the term come from?
Somewhat confusingly, the answers have nothing to do with the moon's color. "Blue moon" is actually the second full moon in a month with two full moons. So that is why Friday's full moon is known as a "blue moon." It really is no different than any other full moon, except that an accident of the calendar causes it to be the second full moon in the month of August, the first having been on Aug. 1.

MOA eye! Is it really bigger than the Ferris wheel at EK?
After my training, it's a good thing that a dear friend of mine (name's Jade) is still in the Philippines. (Just for information, she is waiting for her VISA so that she can go to her husband's place that is in Europe).
So when I got back home from US, I was really very glad that I'd still have the chance to have a bonding time with Jade. And since the more the merrier, we decided to have a get together us close friends way back on review time at Cebu. So me, my roomate Yam, Jade and Ivy agreed to meet at Mall of Asia.
Well, (as usual, Ivy's the last to come. haha. peace Ives. *grin*) when we met, Yam and I were able to meet one of Jade's housemate. So the four of us went to have lunch at Kenny Rogers. I would like to comment first on Kenny Rogers that time. I don't know for most of the days, but at that time, their servings are really bad. I mean, I ordered a side dish which is coleslaw, and imagine my disgust when the cabbage used was not fresh, and the cream used is very bland. *urgh*. Anyway, going back, when we were close to finishing our meal, Ivy arrived. After there, we ate DQ Ice cream. My only treat to them. I was sad I wasn't able to bring something for them from US. It's just my budget is so tight. So, we ate ice cream. and talked...and talked. And then decided that we go out by the seaside of MOA. Seeing that the ferris wheel is now operating, we convinced Jade (who by the way has fear of heights) to ride too. The ferris wheel is know as MOA EYE. It was really huge. I think bigger than the ferris wheel at Enchanted Kingdom. It's a good thing Ivy treated Jade with a ticket (the ticket costs 150 per head. so expensive!) so she has no choice but to ride too. How mean are we? haha. And when it was our turn to get inside the "basket", we appreciated it because it was airconditioned. And when the "basket started moving, we were quite excited ---- for Jade. And when we were at the top, the view of Manila at night is really breathtaking. It was really beautiful. Well, we didn'g get to see the pollution. haha.
So below are our pictures. Take a look for yourself. And maybe experience it by going to MOA immediately. *grin* enjoy!

Enchanted Kingdom: still magical!
When I was still a college student, I really wished to go to Enchanted Kingdom. Here comes me working in Cavite. Then Enchanted Kingdom was like the place I always go to. In fact, I was able to go there more than 6 times already. But everytime I go there, the magic is always there. Especially when you are with your friends who are very close to you. Each experience is different but so much fun.
So, after my offshore training, me and my close friends decided to go to Enchanted Kingdom as bonding time. And since I was able to purchase EK vouchers from Ensogo, I was able to buy tickets with discount. Instead of a P500.00 ticket, I was able to purchase 7 tickets for P345.00 each. Thanks Ensogo!
We went August 12, 2012. And going there on Sunday was really a good choice because there are not a lot of people who fell in line on the rides, so we were able to ride with less time in spending on the line. In fact, my friends were able to repeat riding the Anchor's away 5 times!
So here are our pictures:
enjoy! and maybe it would encourage you to go to EK this weekend. have a magical day then! :)
